Why we are yet to pay N70,000 new minimum wage – Otti

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has explained the delay in paying the new N70,000 minimum wage. He cited the need for proper planning and discussions within the committee established to oversee its implementation. The committee is responsible for determining the modalities of payment and ensuring the financial sustainability of the wage increase. While the state government is committed to paying the new wage, the process requires further assessment to avoid financial strain on the state.
